Exosomes and PRP therapy share similar philosophies. In fact, Exosome therapy uses the same concept of using growth factors to produce collagen growth that PRP uses.
The main difference, however, is that the growth factors in Exosomes are not derived from a patient’s own blood, they are lab derived.
Dr. Reddy is open to offering these treatments at our Harley street Practice. However as the evidence is still emerging we advice our patients to exercise caution and have reasonable expectations with these treatment modules.
PRP Therapy
PRP for hair loss is a useful hair restoration treatment that uses an individual’s own blood to encourage collagen growth and restore hair follicles, and prevent hair loss and thinning in the future.

Taking a small amount of blood from the arm, our doctors will then separate the growth factors and inject them into the areas of the scalp that are balding or thinning. Over time, this serum will produce visible results.
Many people like PRP therapy because it uses their own blood, so there is less chance of risk involved. The treatment takes around 30 minutes and requires very little downtime. Multiple treatments may be needed; however, some patients feel the repeated sessions are worthwhile.
Exosome therapy shares a similar concept to PRP therapy. In fact, it uses the same concept of using growth factors to produce collagen growth that PRP uses. The main difference, however, is that these growth factors are not derived from a patient’s own blood; they are lab derived. The serum, which includes growth factors, messenger RNA, micro RNA, and cytokines contains a higher concentration of growth factors and proves very successful for many patients.
Additionally, because Exosomes are lab derived, it does not have debris of unnecessary ingredients in the serum that patient-extracted PRP serums will have. With these unnecessary ingredients, the body has to clear them. For this reason, many consider Exosome therapy to be better than PRP therapy as it can provide more effective results.

As with PRP therapy, there is not much downtime necessary for this procedure, which makes it a great choice for many men and women.
